"Thanks for inviting me to this site, it is completely excellent and such a great cause. I was fortunate to be on the patron's list for the Reba Ranch House "Thank you Reba" Gala, concert (Denison Airport), and parade in 1997. The chaplain there gave my wife and I a great tour of the facility and escorted us to and from the concert (in the midst of a horrific tornado which actually ended up destroying the very stage that both Reba and her friends Brooks and Dunn performed on). The Ranch House is awesome to say the least.

It's hard to put my story into a nut shell, so I'll only be brief: Back in 1996 I was listening to a country count-down on the radio when the announcer told the story of how Reba raised the funds to build such a wonderful facility in Texoma. It touched me so deeply to know that the family of patients could actually stay at the Ranch House for minimal cost or free!! As I listened to the story over the radio, I recalled my own life experience of being confined to a bed in a far away hospital (in isolation too) as an 8-year old boy with a rare bone disease. Since the best hospital for treatment of children back then was over 100 miles away, my family could only visit me two or three times per month, if I was lucky, and since I was in isolation, only one person could visit me at a time. There wasnt any place for family to come and stay overnight, and we were from the back roads of southern Ontario and the hospital was in the big city of Toronto, where we didnt know anyone.

I felt I should give the Ranch House something to express the way I felt just knowing that such a place like it existed and I was inspired to create two paintings: The first was a painting of The Chapel of the Mohawks which is a place nearby my home, which to me, is a symbol of Gods love and hope and strength of faith, and the second was a view of a tricycle tipped over in the grass under a lilac bush, representing the lengthy pause in my childhood I had experienced. I was unable to walk, run or play with my tricycle, which I treasured, and I was unable to be an 8 year old but remain in a bed for most of what was suposed to be my second year of school (grade 2).

I FedExd the Chapel to Texoma in care of the Chaplains and the receptionist Dona, who were very kind, and it now hangs on the wall beside the entrance to the Reba Ranch Chapel doorway. The tricycle painting I gave to the Toronto Sick Childrens Hospital (where I had been hospitalized back in 1969 as a boy) and it now hangs on a wall in that hospital. By the way, this year will be 40 years since I was there and have never had a relapse and have walked and ran thanks to advanced Medical Science.

You have an excellent site here and I hope you raise all the necessary funds to expand and continue such great facility which was brought about by the shear genuine kindness of one person; Reba, who has touched the lives of so many because of her generosity."

Thanks Rhonda

Regards Clayton
Just wondering if eBay allows you to market concert tickets online? Do you know if you will find any restrictions depending on what country you are in?

My parents have just referred to as me and asked if i could "get rid" of their two tickets to a concert as they wont be able to make it as a result of one more family event.

Besides asking buddies etc, i thought ebay would be an excellent location to sell them.

But whats ebay's policy on marketing tickets? Ive heard alot about it within the news but ive forgotten what happened.

and if it matters, the concert is within this coming month

Thanks in advance for your advice.
